Dedicated to the memory of Alexander James Albiston. Gone but never forgotten.

Jon Rose Sky Dive

104450 Bone Cancer chq skydive

In memory of his friend Alex Albiston, Jon Rose (47) did a Tandem skydive on 2nd August 2010 at Hibaldstow Airfield, North Linconshire. Jon jumped from 15,000 feet, free falling for 10,000 feet and reaching a final velocity of 120 mph.

Jon did the jump despite having a fear of heights, he wrote at the time "Alex was a remarkable lad, he was academically gifted, an excellant all round sportsman and someone who always remained "one of the lads". The calm & totally selfless way in which Alex fought his battle has inspired me to do my bit to raise money for one of his supported charities."

The photo opposite, shows Jon (right) presenting a cheque to David Fisher of the BCRT for £904. Alexander's dad, Tim looks on in the rear.
