Dedicated to the memory of Alexander James Albiston. Gone but never forgotten.

EDF Energy

On Friday 30th March, Andrew Teasdale presented a cheque on behalf of EDF Energy to Tim Albiston for £862.50. The money was to be donated to the Bone Cancer Research Trust in memory of Alex Albiston. Andrew, who is a relative of Alexander took part in an employment engagement survey by EDF Energy which gave the workforce the opportunity to nominate a charity to receive funds for every completed employee survey submitted. Andrew nominated the BCRT and emailed his colleagues across five shift operations teams to support his nomination. He sent out a copy of Alexander's story and urged them to nominate the BCRT on completion of the surveys. Out of the six charities nominated the BCRT got the vote by an overwhelming majority.
Photos opposite show Andrew presenting the cheque to Tim and also with local World Cup Referee Howard Webb MBE.
