On Saturday 9th July 2011, 19 workers at the steelstocking holding company C. Roberts in Rotherham got together for a photoshoot with a difference. The workers posed naked for photos in their work environment save for a hard hat and strategically placed work equipment protecting their modesty.
It was all in a good cause though, because the photos were being taken to produce a calendar to raise money in memory of Alexander Albiston and specifically for the Bone Cancer Research Trust. The calendar which sold out in many of the local shops in Wickersley raised a superb £5,760. The HSBC Bank then provided a £1,500 fund match for the Charity Calendar which brought the total raised to an unbelievable £7,260.
A big thank you to calendar organiser and C Roberts employee Pete Jackson, C Roberts Manager Tom Barrett and photographer Simon Kendrick
